ABOUT ELLE:
A self-confessed Dharma brat and curious cat – Elle loves to constantly seek and investigate life at all angles and yoga has been an integral tool in her journey. She brings to the experience a deep, meditative eye to bring balance to the body and mind.
Inspirations: Buddhist teachings, her teachers, daily life and the sheer joy of being present in the body she’s been given. The intent in bringing these insights to class is so that each student can find a seed for their own growth and development emotionally, physically and spiritually. Her classes can be a deep and mentally dynamic but do recognize each student’s individual needs and levels.
Elle’s teaching styles include Yin, Hatha and Vinyasa yoga. Her expansive knowledge and love of anatomy creates an individual experience for each student that focuses on functionality versus aesthetic. Elle’s training includes 200hrs YA Hatha Yoga from Semperviva Yoga, 100hrs of Yin Yoga & Anatomy with Paul Grilley, 150+ additional hours in workshops and a certification and continued mentorship in Core Strength Vinyasa Yoga with Sadie Nardini. Elle strongly believes in on-going professional study and, most importantly, seeking the little lessons in every day life.
ABOUT ANDREA:
Andrea Spiegel is an intrepid yoga adventurer. She was introduced to yoga by her mother 10 years ago and fell immediately in love. It continues to offer her focus, alignment, calm and joy both on and off the mat. She instructs Hatha, Flow, and Power Yoga in Vancouver, usually at South Granville YYoga.
She instructs her classes much the same way she travels through life – with a (often awkward) sense of humour and an attention to how our small, seemly personal lessons are a way to connect universally.
Andrea’s training includes 200 hour YA training through YogaWorks as well as 200 hour YA Anusara Teacher Training through YYoga with Chris Chavez. She has also taken trainings and workshops with Sara Ivanhoe, Sadie Nardini, Seane Corn, Desiree Rumbaugh, as well as numerous other extraordinary teachers.
